All About Family, Inc. is a personal assistance and companion home care service for individuals of any age. We care for those who wish to be safe and comfortable in their home or residential facility, and those who need care during illness or recovery in a residence, rehabilitation or hospital setting. We provide assistance in Richmond and the surrounding counties on a short term or long term basis.
Levels of Care
Companion Care is available for individuals who need assistance with errands, light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation or transportation. Often, there is a need only for companionship with the stimulation of conversation, short walks and selected activities. This level of home care is for those who do not require assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting or eating. Companion care will be personalized to meet each individual’s individual requirement. This assistance can eliminate or decrease dependence on family and friends for day to day tasks.
Personal Assistance provides the level of home care needed during illness or recovery from injury or surgery. This level of care is often needed by persons with Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and other debilitating illness. A staff registered nurse completes the detailed assessment and evaluation required after meeting with each client. The plan of care is established and assigned certified nursing assistants follow this Care Plan. A staff registered nurse provides supervision and scheduled follow-up visits to assure quality of care.
Special Care is a service that provides assistance for pregnant women who need reduced activities. This can be followed up with assistance to the mom and newborn when they arrive home.
Our Staff
All About Family employs caregivers with proven experience and professional qualifications. We carefully check employment backgrounds and references to ensure employees have the competence and dependability we require. State police criminal background reports and drug screening are part of each caregiver’s employment file. Additionally, our agency provides three million dollars liability coverage and surety bonds for the complete protection for our clients.
All About Family was established in Richmond and we have designed our care to meet a high standard of personal care. Telephones are staffed by management on a 24-hour, 7 days basis to give immediate answers and assistance. We are always accessible and we are there when needed.
